How Vinted fees work
Vinted flipped the usual model. Instead of taking a cut from the seller, it charges the buyer a fee on every order. If you list a jacket for $30 and it sells, you get $30. The buyer pays $30, plus the fee, plus shipping.
Vinted says the fee "usually" follows this formula, and that it can change with the item, the order value and whether the order is a bundle. The buyer always sees the exact amount before paying.
Vinted renamed the Buyer Protection fee to the Vinted fee in its new terms for the US, UK and Australia, effective October 8, 2026. It's the same buyer-side charge, and it still doesn't come out of your earnings.

Because the fixed part is $0.70, the fee is proportionally large on cheap items: on a $5 item the buyer pays $0.95 in fees, 19% of the price. That's why cheap items sell best on Vinted in bundles.
Vinted fees in the UK
In the UK, Vinted says the fee is typically 3% to 8% of the item or bundle price, plus a fixed £0.30 to £0.80, including VAT. Sellers still pay nothing. The total is shown to the buyer in the order summary at checkout.
Does the buyer fee change how you should price?
A little. Buyers compare the total they pay, not your listing price. A $30 item on Vinted costs the buyer $32.20 plus shipping, so it competes with a $32 or $33 listing elsewhere. But you keep all $30, which you'd only get from a much higher price on eBay or Poshmark. Most sellers can price slightly lower on Vinted and still keep more.
Optional Vinted costs for sellers
- Bumps push your items higher in the feed and search for a few days.
- Wardrobe Spotlight promotes your whole closet to more buyers.
- Shipping, if you offer it free. If you choose to cover shipping, it comes out of your pocket.
All of these are optional, and Vinted shows the price before you pay.

On fees alone, Vinted is hard to beat for sellers. The trade-off is audience: Vinted is huge in the UK and Europe, and still growing in the US, where eBay, Poshmark and Depop have more buyers for many categories. Cross-listing lets you use Vinted's low fees without giving up the bigger audiences.

- Encourage bundles. Turn on bundle discounts so buyers add more items and pay one fee and one shipping charge.
- Price for the total. Remember the buyer adds the fee and shipping on top.
- Refresh with great photos before paying for Bumps.
- Ship quickly. Your payout is released when the buyer confirms the order, or automatically two days after delivery.
